On January 31, 2020, Google has recently rolled out SOS alert in search results for searches related to the coronavirus outbreak.
Google’s SOS alerts, first introduced in 2017, for the public safety and awareness about the life-threatening crisis events. This was specially designed to help searchers by providing an ad-free page of search results with up-to-date news, links to authoritative resources, and any applicable safety tips.
Now, for searches related to novel coronavirus, this is what the search results page will look like:
“We have teams around the world who source content from government agencies, first responders, trusted media outlets, and NGOs. We also aggregate information from other Google products and services, such as Google News, Google Maps, Waze, and more.” Google Said in Coronavirus SOS Alert Help Page.
Google shows global SOS alerts for the deadly coronavirus outbreak, but this might get localized over time if needed.
Since, there is no vaccination discovered yet we request you all to take necessary precaution to safeguard you and your family’s health. Also, if there is any other public safety related awareness – Do let us know in the comments section.
